DEFINITIONS

Annual Meeting: Means the required meeting of the Constituency Association as set out in Sections 2(b) and 3(g).

Board: Means the provincial board of the Party as established by Section 8 of the Bylaws.

Board Executive: Means the Officers and Directors of the Provincial Board of the Party as established in Section 8.

Board Order: Any order of the Board issued by the authority of Section 8(h).

Clear Day: A calculation of the nwnber of days whereby the first day and last day are excluded.

Constituency:  Means any of the individually designated geographic areas within the Province of British Columbia as described in the Provincial Elections Act as having the right to elect one or more members to the Provincial Legislature.  Also called Electoral Districts.

Constituency Association: Means all of the Social Credit members residing within the boundaries of a Constituency as well as those Constituency Executive members described in Section 2(a), and such Association is recognized by the Party Board. Constituency Executive: The Directors and Officers of a Constituency Association. Director: A member elected or appointed to a Constituency Executive or the Party Board.

Election Meeting: Means a meeting called for the purpose of electing a Regional Director.

Head Office: The registered office of the Party.

Member:         Means a Social Credit Party member in good standing as prescribed in Section 1(f)

Multi-Location Meeting: Means an annual meeting, nomination meeting, or election meeting held at more than one location within a Constituency.

Nomination Meeting: Means a Constituency meeting held for the purpose of nominating a candidate to contest a Provincial Election or By-Election.  A nomination meeting shall meet all the requirements of an annual meeting as set forth in Section 3(g). Officer: President, Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Secretary-Treasurer who has attained the Provincial Age of Majority.

Organization: The administrative and functional structure of this Party. 

Party: Means the British Columbia Social Credit Party.

Provincial Convention: The annual general meeting and convention of the party subject to the provisions of By-Law 10.

Special Provincial Convention: A general meeting and convention of the Party over and above the annual general meeting and shall be subject to the provisions of By-Law 10. Special Resolution: Means any resolution

(a)        proposing to amend this Constitution or its By-laws

(b)        Call for a leadership vote

(c)        Or such other matters as the Board from time to time may by resolution order.

Young Socred: Shall be a member of the Party who is 16 to 28 years of age.
